Herb Weisbaum is one of America’s top consumer experts. His Emmy award-winning reports have exposed everything from quack medications to bogus investments. Herb has been “looking out” for people around here for nearly 30 years now.

Herb co-anchors the afternoon news on KOMO Newsradio with Jane Shannon, weekdays from 3 - 7 pm. His Problem Solver reports can be seen weekdays on KOMO 4 NEWS “First News @ Four.”
Before joining KOMO News, Herb was the Consumer Correspondent for CBS News and a contributor to the Today Show. Herb’s investigative consumer reporting has been honored by the Associated Press, Columbia Journalism Review, National Consumers League, and the Society of Professional Journalists to mention a few.

Herb graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Television-Radio and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. Herb is on the Board of the Seattle Humane Society. He and his wife Debra have helped raise millions of dollars to help homeless animals in our community. The Weisbaum family, which includes their dog Jack and Casey the cat, lives in Bellevue.
