Police looking for missing woman believed to have six kids with her

Update Nov. 7, 6:43 p.m.: Vancouver Police are "canceling the attempt to locate Nelya F. Nikolaychuk and her six children after they were located safe with relatives in Minnesota," according to a press release received by KATU moments ago.

Vancouver Police are asking for help in locating a woman and her children who have been reported missing by family members.

The woman is identified as Nelya F Nikolaychuk. Mrs. Nikolaychuk is described as a W/F, 503, 160lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. She is 44 years old.

Mrs. Nikolaychuk is believed to have her 6 children with her. The children range in age from 2 years to 12 years old.

They were last seen on 11-5-2009 at approximately 2 p.m. There has been no contact since that time.

Police are also trying to locate Mrs. Nikolaychuk's vehicle - a 2005 Kia Sedona mini-van (similar to the one shown below), tan in color, Washington license plate - 563YIC.

maybe she had her kids taken away from her and she could only see then on the 11/5/09. Or she is on meds. And she did not take them with her. Or she got in a big fight with husband and drove off upset. There is a lot more to the story then we know.

Seriously, I seen her at McDonalds last night in St. John's about 9:00 PM. She was inside asking people for gas money. I didn't see anyone else with her. I hope thats helps,

The main thing everyone is forgeting is that a mother with 6 children are missing. Hopefullly this turns out for the best. Non-constructive efforts are not hekpful, what if where one of your loved ones? What if one of the missing persons' family read what some of you have posted? How would you explain your inconsideration? Please, to the family excuse those comments from others whom have nothing better to do. I share in your hopfullness of a safe return of your miising loved ones.
